To become a citizen of the United States, among other requirements, applicants must pass a test of their knowledge of U.S. law, politics, history and geography. Can you answer these questions?

  1. What is the supreme law of the land?
  2. What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?
  3. What is one responsibility that is only for United States citizens?
  4. Who was President during World War I?
  5. Name one of the two longest rivers in the United States.

Our son-in-law Alain became a United States citizen on June 15th. His family attended his swearing in ceremony in downtown Sacramento. Sophia is so proud of her papa!

Emily and Alain hosted a BBQ at their home with all the good ol' country favorites, hot dogs, potato salad and cupcakes! Alain, Don, Mike and Jayme.
