Morro Bay Vacation

We spent a fabulous week at the beach in July. One of our favorite places is Morro Bay, California. Our son went to school at Cal Poly and we would visit this beautiful area several times a year and decided it would be a great vacation destination for the family. We rented a beach house and piled in for a week of relaxation and beach gazing. We loved the beach house and all it had to offer including just a short walk down to the beach.
We took a day away from the beach to visit several of the wineries along Hwy 46 in Paso Robles. The area was beautiful and offered renowned wines for tasting. We spent a relaxing day wine tasting and picnicking on the beautiful winery grounds.
This area reminds me of the Napa Valley but with much less traffic and congestion. The wineries were so friendly and we enjoyed the scenery as well!
One of our favorite wineries, Donati Family Vineyard.
We all took a drive down to Pismo Beach for lunch one day. We drove past Mike's old college apartment and walked along the pier before having lunch at a little pub.

My girls, Emily and Sophia.
Sophia loved the beach! She loved playing and crawling in the sand and dipping her toes in the water. Sophia took her first steps walking on this beach and we all got to be there to see it!
